Canon have now released the EOS 50D, which is an upgrade of the EOS 40D.

They have also released the EF-S 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS lens, which sounds to me like a pretty good all-rounder and will cut down the need to change lenses on your SLR's so often. Unless you want telephoto above 200mm, very wide angle or macro, or a faster lens, then this one should do the job.

I was half thinking of getting the 40D and about 3 lenses to go with it (with a slight £2400 price tag), I think I will wait and see what this new model is like.
